Many piano players are out there and most of them dont have the skill to improvise on the keys! Several years spent on tedious piano lessons and lack of right guidance are the culprits behind this. Without staring at the sheet music in front of them, several pianists couldnt press the keys! They rely too much on the sheet music and this is just like repeating another artists work and not learning how to make their original work. Learning how to read music can be very handy at times but it is pleasant to develop a new skill as well, and that is learning how to improvise. What many have failed to realize is that improvising on the piano is a very enjoyable activity. This will allow the pianist to reveal their real talent in piano playing and express the feelings that they have inside. The art of improvisation can be enhanced by any piano player by enabling formless creative moments to insert during the routine practice hours spent daily. In this manner, the pianist can have their imaginative thoughts expressed by hitting the keys unhesitantly. It is very vital to have the time to just sit in front of the piano and make music. It is a great step to take in the world of playing the piano. In order for things to go well in improvising on the piano, you just have to let it flow naturally, and let it unravel itself. Just the way kids at young ages hit the keys, they just let their fingers glide without fear. You can try and observe them if you havent done it before. Without even supervision, these kids can play creatively and have fun at the same time. You too can do thisby doing the free play at 15-30 minutes. Just avoid the fear of pressing the incorrect notes. The skill to read notes is being highlighted by most traditional piano lessons. One of the most important skills in the world of piano music is playing by notes and we cant deny that fact. However, it also has its downside which may lead some piano players to play piano only by notes and rely on this skill most of the time. So how about when the music sheet is not available? They wont be able to play piano and this is a bad thing for a pianist who aspires to become better. Sooner or later, their desire for music will run out and give up on their piano lessons. As the result of stressing out on their music reading, several young kids quitted their piano lessons. Since kids at the age of 5 or 6 cannot read notes very well, they are advised to avoid taking traditional lessons. Music is a language and there are various ways of learning how to speak it. Just let it flow through you and unleashed the real, hidden talent that you have as a pianist.
