How to Ease Nausea During Pregnancy



Expecting a baby is the most amazing time for any woman. There are many different things which affect women during their pregnancy, but one of the most common must be nausea. While there are some lucky ones who are not affected with this, and enjoy great health during pregnancy, for others it can be a daily thing and not only limited to the morning. Some even go beyond the nauseated feeling and actually vomit, something no one likes to suffer with!

There are quite a number of things a woman can do to assist them improve their health during pregnancy and to ease the feelings of nausea. Below are some of the most common ways to deal with nausea so you can improve your health during pregnancy. It is important to remember that what may work for one woman may not work for another, so you will need to find what works best for you and your particular pregnancy.

Many women swear by smelling something fresh. This works well for women that are stuck in the office and something in the air is making them feel ill. The strangest things can start the feeling of nasuea when pregnant, for example just the smell of certain foods. If someone in the office just cooked something that is making you feel sick, try smelling something fresh like a lemon candle or spritzer. Another common scent that has also shown to help relieve nausea is Rosemary. Another idea is to simply get some fresh air.

Saltine crackers or soda crackers have also helps many women through those mornings where nothing seems to work for calming the tummy. If you have no crackers handy, you could always try some dry toast. The crackers and toast help to absorb the stomach acid, which in turn helps to calm the queasy stomach. If you do not like crackers or dry toast try other items that will have the same effect, such as dry cereal. The key is finding what works well for you and your nausea. Once you have tried a few different things and hopefully located something that will help you, it is recommended you keep a supply in your purse for those unexpected moments of nausea.

Your health during pregnancy is very important, as you are not just taking care of you. You now have a little one that your body is creating and that is hard work. Nausea is just a part of what you will go through during your pregnancy so it is important to do what you can to take care of your body so that you can give your baby what it needs to develop properly. Exercise and diet are essential in giving your baby what it needs as this helps to keep your body performing at its best.

If you are one of the unfortunate ones who suffer with morning sickness, then you will probably do anything to take away the horrible feeling of nausea. Keep in mind that this is only a temporary part of being pregnant and it is usually gone once the second trimester starts. If you find that your health during pregnancy is suffering due to the nausea, you may want to talk with your doctor to see if he or she has any recommendations on how you can control the nausea. Hopefully you will find that a simple thing such as crackers or some fresh air will do the trick in a matter of minutes.
