They also don't waste as much heat energy as they don't heat up as much. 5. Improving the exterior of your home by filling in any cracks and holes also saves a heap of energy. In fact, if you are able to eliminate all sources of cold air coming into your home, you can use 70% energy to heat up your home as there will be no unwanted escape. Saving energy at home is such an easy thing to do, yet so many people are unaware of this. It is important to notice that you will not know what you need to do unless you carry out a home energy check up, which makes the list above dependant on you doing so.
