Usage of herbal remedies in treating certain symptoms of diseases has been around since the ancient civilizations. Asian and Indian cultures has been harnessing its health benefits since ancient times. It has been traditionally used to treat nausea, motion sickness and arthritic pain. Some studies suggest that its antioxidant property helps protect the body from certain cancers and it may also have a blood thinning property that aids in cardiovascular health. Turmeric-Curcumin This root has been used traditionally to provide relief from stomach upsets and other digestive symptoms such as heatburn .There are numerous studies done on animals showing its anti-inflammatory property. Further clinical studies on humans are needed to be able to make a legitimate claim on its health benefits. There are more herbal remedies out there that has been traditionally used and was handed down from generation to generation. Most people seek complimentary and alternative remedy to get that extra bit of comfort and relief on their symptoms. As we are slowly acknowledging the significant health benefits on some of these healing herbs, it is also strongly emphasized that you seek medical advise before augmenting or replacing your current treatment.
