The two mating bones in joints like knees, feet and wrists and elbows need a cushion type of material to support the free movement of bones and also to absorb the shocks. In osteoarthritis condition due to breakage and lack of cushion material, the bones generally comes to direct contact. This results a constant chronic pain whenever there is some load on bones. When the problem is medium or at initial stages, most doctors prescribes medication which mostly contains NSAID pain killers. It is most effective when followed with some general home care treatment. A general home care treatment includes regular exercises, weight loss programs, balanced diet; usage of orthopedic equipment like shoes and spine belts.
