Nowhere else is that statement more true than in MLM or network marketing. And until you as a networker understand that fact, you’ll continue to struggle. In a nutshell, you need to market you. Yes, even before promoting the business opportunity or some product lines, first promote yourself. People trust people, not products or services. No matter how wonderful a product or service may be, if there isn’t a trustworthy person behind it, people won’t buy. Online success only comes to those who are self promoters. So begin by promoting your knowledge, your integrity, and your abilities. Advertise what you can do for people (your prospects). In branding yourself, it also helps if you can define your target base—your customers and their needs and expectations. Then determine what values or qualities these customers should see in you as opposed to the competition. Position yourself as a leader who can help others succeed in THEIR OWN businesses. Continue to create and give value to your customers and prospects. Send out monthly email updates and helpful articles to your prospects; remember to always include your link in every correspondence. These are the things that win people’s trust and loyalty. It will help you build a strong customer base and attract new customers to you. Self branding is so important to your business because no matter what the product line is, you remain you.
