An average American spends around 40-60 hours every week, working, in addition to the commuting time, thereby leaving very limited quantity of free time with you. It's important to control your time by fully focusing on what you are doing at that moment and not allowing outside distractions. The foremost thing that should come into your routine is, the time you have to spend with your family and friends. Avoid reaching your computer to check your emails, the moment you come home from work. If you are married, plan around 30 minutes, to be spent in conversing with your spouse about the day's activities. Pay complete attention to the person and try to keep off from going through the newspapers or getting the TV on. Provide your exclusive attention to attain the most out of your time with each other. What you schedule next is up to you. You can either spend more time with your family or set a block of time to work on your business. No matter what you determine to go for, just assure that you 100% conform to that. Attempt, not to ponder about your business when you are savoring some quality time with your family, similarly when you work on your business, keep your thoughts away from your family. You'll see that your efficiency will increase many folds, and you will be able to have more things done in lesser amount of time. It is really significant to adhere to this routine.
