How To Promote On Facebook Correctly





A lot of people are now using the social giant Facebook to market their business, it used to my MySpace that was used but that is quickly becoming a thing of the past. There is no doubt it is a great place for marketing due to the fact that there are over 200 million folks that use it on a daily basis. Unfortunately though most of the people using Facebook for business purposes are downright spammers. I'm sure you have experienced for yourself the droves of constant emails pitching biz ops and various other affiliate products, sometimes it's difficult to get away from it (depending on who is on your friend list), sometimes I don't even bother reading my emails in Facebook and just delete them.

If we know how to do it properly then we can use Facebook as an effective marketing platform. We must remember that it's all about socialising online and therefore our main use for it is to formulate relationships with folks. The promotion of our opportunities can happen naturally at a later date when we have developed connections with folks.

We will take a quick overview of the Facebook marketing strategy that will work for your business,

1) Set up your Facebook profile so that it is interesting and personal to you, don't just fill it with information about your business but include as much personal information as possible, you want to have plenty of pictures of you and your family. People want to learn about YOU not just your business.

2) Start searching for groups relevant to your market and start adding friends. Vary things as much as you can, try not to be narrow minded and just go for the online marketing groups.

3) Start searching for groups to join in your niche market. You can then start posting useful information to the group 'wall', most group owners will allow this. I like to post my videos to group walls when I have published them, my videos will be offering value and NOT pitching my business but it attracts people to my blog and they get real value out of it which puts me in a favourable position and they are more likely to opt-in to my newsletters.

4) Start your own group; this could be directly relevant to your niche. By regularly sending out invitations you can grow your group. It's just like building a subscriber list but on Facebook.

5) Try putting your content on your friends walls and also to your own. That way your content can potentially go viral as many more people are going to see your information and get value from it. Just remember to always offer value and don't just pitch your business, if you don't heed this warning you will most probably end up with a lot less friends.

6) Create a personal video greeting to your new Facebook friends and tag them to the video. This is a VERY powerful Facebook marketing strategy and not many people are doing it.

By mastering the Facebook marketing strategy secrets you can become an expert in a short space of time and leverage this very powerful tool.
