Normally, water pumps are located beneath the engines so it would be practical to service the pumps together with the engine. This is practically best since replacing the radiator would require that the coolant be drained thoroughly. It is also easier to repair it when the radiator is removed. Some retailers are selling second hand models also. Check if these are still in good condition before buying. But if you want to have peace of mind, it is more practical to choose a brand new water pump. Most of the retailers provide better warranty service for their product which is more convenient.
