The HEPA filter cleans the air very well, and the small levels of ozone give our home a fresh smell. After running the air purifier for a while, I find the clothes in the closet smell like when they just came in off the clothesline. The fresh smell only comes with the Ionizing air purifiers that produce ozone.. What should I be looking for in an air purifier? You should definitely look for an air purifier that has a HEPA. There are many other filters available, but the HEPA filter is well known and respected as one of the best on the market. Also dont forget to check the levels of ozone that your air purifier emits. A small amount of ozone gives your home a nice outdoor fresh scent. Too much ozone can be harmful for those who have troubles with their breathing. If the packaging does not tell you and the store workers dont know the details, go home and check the internet. Look at the consumer reviews and studies on the product you are considering purchasing. Finally, make sure the air purifier is large enough for the area you want to use it in. Air purifiers come in all shapes and sizes. Read the packaging to see if the one you are looking at will suit your needs.
