Besides 192.168.1.1, another private IP address that is commonly used is 192.168.2.1, and like the other private IPs, its purpose is to preserve the data that goes through it. The 192.168.2.1 Infrastructure As with any other computer device, IP address 192.168.2.1 makes use of routers to relay information to and from the Internet to the network node. Aside from using the NAT (Network Address Translation), the router includes a public IP address. This is what the computers on the network use as identifiers when going through the Net.
