Tracing a cell phone number of a prank or nuisance caller is very easy these days and it is one hundred per cent legitimate to do so. No longer do you need to be a member of the law enforcement agencies to access information on who owns a certain cell number. These days anyone can use the same tools that a private detective would use to find out: 1) The name of the owner of a cell phone number! 2) The address of the owner of the cell phone number! 3) The area where the phone was last active! 4) The service provider of the cell phone! 5) And other private information about the owner of a cell phone number. All you have to do is get hold of the suspicious number and find the best reverse cell phone lookup service there is. I say the best, because some of the services do not deliver what they say they will deliver. Some of them will not have sufficient information about a particular cell phone number in their databases. Why? Because some databases are just too small and limited to have the information you are looking for. So you end up paying a fee for a report that has very little or no information on the owner of a suspicious cell phone number. Chances are you might even get back a report saying "sorry, there is not sufficient information available on that number!" While other, more reliable services will offer you a free trial where you simply put the number into their database, they will generate a report on the suspicious number. Only then, once you see what kind of information is available on the cell phone number, do you then pay a small fee to access the report. So there is virtually very little chance of you wasting your time and more importantly, your money. But why do you even have to pay to trace cell phone numbers? Why can't you just access the information free of charge like you can do with traditional land-line numbers? Well cell phone numbers are owned by the companies who issue them. These companies are private companies and therefore, the cell phone numbers are not in the public domain. Naturally these companies charge a small fee to access their databases and so that is the reason that you have to pay to trace cell phone numbers.
