Okay, for those of you who are still with me, you have been warned. In the current network marketing environment of attraction marketing I often wonder if we are not creating a feeding frenzy amongst ourselves. There is not a day that goes by that I do not receive at least 6 emails or Facebook messages trying to get me to switch my network marketing affiliation. Sort of like they are saying, you WILL be attracted to me and then join my business. Quite frankly, is there any better catch than hooking an experienced network marketer into your network marketing business? Look at the pluses: 1. They are experienced, requiring very little training. 2. They know that this is a business and they will have to spend money to make money. 3. They know that the results they will get out of their network marketing business will be directly proportional to the efforts they put in. 4. They know that success will not happen overnight and, like any business, it takes time to achieve profitability and success. Usually someone new to network marketing will expect immediate results for little or no work. That is exactly the way the presenter at the business opportunity meeting he/she attended presented the opportunity: piece of cake, anyone can do it. Any wonder why it is easier to retain an experienced network marketer than a newbie? Yes, the experienced networker has the qualities to stick with your opportunity until positive results are achieved. But here is a little secret: so does the newbie. Were you to be sure that your new representative understood that at times it might be difficult, but that you were always accessible to them and that your network marketing company had a system in place to assist them, you would have a greater retention rate. If they also understood that success was not instantaneous once they joined your opportunity but would take time and energy on their part, they would be more likely to hang in there until they achieved profitability. You have far better odds - given the one and a half billion people currently on the internet - of developing a sponsoring system for a newbie than all of us participating in a feeding frenzy to try to get each other to switch over to each other's network marketing business opportunity. Will it be easy sponsoring in new reps? Piece of cake. Er. I mean, no it won't be easy. But I am always leery about cross recruiting a network marketer into my business feeling as though he/she could be just as easily cross recruited out of my business (along with others they may recruit from my business to join them).
