Generally it is better if you look for a Niche that interests you and in which you feel competent. This will allow you to increase your knowledge in an area where you are interested and use your competence to make your promotion efforts more productive. The first question you should answer is whether there are people who are eager or desperate to buy in the Niche that you have decided to consider. In some cases there are many people who browse the Internet just to collect information and you would waste your time if nobody actually buys your Affiliate Marketing products. You can then make some investigation on the Niche by searching Amazon and eBay. They often include reviews of good products and , if a product receives many good reviews, it is surely a product in demand. After this initial approach, you should deepen your investigation by finding some keywords that people use to look for Niche Affiliate Marketing products in your chosen niche. There are many good tools for Keyword Research; some of them have a price, but many other one are free. One of the best free keyword search tool is the Google AdWords External Keyword Tool. You will be able to enter a keyword and get a list of similar keywords or to enter the URL of an existing site operating in that Niche and get a list of the keywords targeted by that website. The results include the average monthly sales and an indication of the competition. This will help you to identify keywords with a relatively high demand and an acceptable competition. You can then kearn more about the competition by making searches in Google and/or other Search Engines with the aim to get an idea of how many competing sites target the requested keyword. You can also make searched with special modifiers such as allintitle to identify how many sites use the keyword in the title. The ideal situation would be to find a keyword with a relatively low competition (e.g less than 50000 sites in a Google search) and with some paid advertisements, because, if there are paid advertisements, it means that there are buyers for that keyword. Once you have identified a promising Niche and you have a list of keywords used in that Niche that you might target, you can start looking for a good Niche Affiliate Marketing Program to promote as an Affiliate. A good way to find products would be to use the ClickBank Marketplace option, which provides plenty of useful information on each product. You will find details such as the commission percentage, the number of Affiliates currently marketing the product and much more. You will also find a link to the product pitch page that I would advice to always visit, This product selection will be investigated in more detail in another Article.
