If your kid loves legos then a party is the best idea for a birthday celebration. You don't have to wait you can plan the next lego party now. With so many themes available you can do just about any theme you want. You could even combine your kid's love of them all.
If your kid is into star wars you could always do a star wars theme party. You could have a spongebob or truck and car themes is a great idea. The cars and trucks actually work once you put them all together.
You could make or have made a birthday cake. You can buy invitations to send out to all the guest so they know what kind of theme the party is going to be. You can go to legoville supplies and find all the decorations you need. You can also shop for theme supplies online.
You can ask a bakery if they can do a cake the way you want and if they can not then you can do one yourself. All you have to do is use different colors of icing and make it look like little blocks. If that is too much work or you just don't think you could do it then you could always buy cupcakes and put a little lego person on top of each one.
Since they come in different colors you could use food coloring to dye your birthday foods. Another fun idea for a bash is a pinata. Instead of filling it with candy you could fill it with candy for the kids to play with and take home.
Don't forget the gift bag for the children. You can fill the gift bags with bubbles, candy, and silly string. All kids love silly string. Just make sure you give them the bag on the way out so that the pieces don't all get mixed up.
