Not Filling Out Their Profile Your profile is what people first view once they are your friend. Yet a lot of people don't take the time to fill it in. You don't need to make it perfect, but it should let people know about you. First off, you need to put a decent picture up of yourself. All it needs to be is something positive. You don't want to look angry or sad, just a picture where you look happy. Pictures of you on holiday or out with friends/family are great to have on your profile. You should then fill out what your interests and activities are. After that is the "About Me" section which you don't want to leave blank. Write a short story about yourself and why you are on facebook or why you are in MLM. People love to read a story. Put some of your personality into it and make it interesting, so people will remember you which surely is the first step to developing a relationship. Sendin Bulk Messages To A List Of "Friends" It seems that some send bulk messages to up to 50 people at a time. This would be fine if you knew everyone you are sending the message to personally, but usually this is not the case. You might get a lead here and a sale there, but its going to push more people away than anything. From what I've seen, people don't appreciate these messages as they see them as spam. If you make your own Facebook Group you can send out a broadcast message without annoying everyone. You send out invites to your friends to join the group, which they have to reply to if they want to join. So when they receive a message from the group, it will be OK with them because you didn't send them something out of the blue and without permission. Forgetting To Network Don't forget, Facebook is a site for networking. Many people just try to sell you their opportunity and don't try to build relationships. Instead you should be trying to connect with people. Find out what drives them and what they are having problems with. You should always be aiming to give value even if you have too many Facebook friends to interact with personally. Using a group to send useful messages that can benefit them is a great way to do this. Post something helpful onto your own wall (or someone elses if you want) such as a link to a good article. Why not comment on other people's posts if its interesting? It's all about networking and interacting with people.
