GeneWize Life Sciences is the direct marketing arm of GeneLink, Inc, a public biotech company with its base just outside of Orlando, Florida. GeneLink has spent the last 15 years doing some amazing DNA research and have several patents and patents pending on everything from DNA testing kits to which genes they actually test for a specific purpose. GeneWize has developed a genius manufacturing process that works a lot like the machine you use at Home Depot for making custom paint for your projects. First they input your personal ingredient list, then it turns it into an algorithm, and the machine spits out a vitamin, mineral and enzyme combination made just for you. The same process is used for skin care. If you think about it, this is really amazing. But now you may be thinking...what about the money? GeneWize chose the most used version of what I'll refer to as the "new breed of compensation plans." Basically, it's a binary with a check match. There's more that can be earned too, but those are the main components. In short you build a binary, two-team organization. You are paid off the team that does less volume. However, with the check match, you will gain a matching bonus on anyone you personally enroll, and it doesn't matter where they stand in the binary. These matching bonuses are earned for 4 levels of personally sponsored affiliates. At the top level, you can earn 40% of someone's check. If you assisted someone in making $5,000/mo, you will make a $2,000 bonus and that's only for that one affiliate. This is the real benefit of the binary check matches. Your team bonus won't make you rich, but the check match can represent some huge income over time. At the end of the day, every company only pays out so much. The question is, where does the company pay?. With the way they've set up their comp plan, GeneWize has clearly decided to pay on the middle and top end. As a result, the plan leans towards top producers. GeneWize is a solid organization; there is no question about that. They have a clear compensation plan; you can easily see that. If you take some time to research on your own, you will also find they have revolutionary products also. So now what? How are you going to get your business/product out there? Trade shows? Networking events? Family? Friends? All of these options could work, but what if you really learned how to market like a pro? What if you learned how to position yourself and your company so that you only talk to people who are already interested? Every business needs an effective marketing plan. It's the fuel that makes a business work. Making a list of the top 200 people may do it for some people, but definitely not all.
