3 Reasons Why You Should Stop Chasing Business Opportunity Leads





Business opportunity leads are a hot commodity in mlm and network marketing. Without leads you have a dead business. That’s why home business owners do one of two things, buy leads or generate their own leads through marketing. 95% of home based business owners fail, or should I say quit, because they go broke trying to generate opportunity leads and chasing those leads with very little or now success. There are 3 main explanations why you should shun business leads.

1. Just Curious & Not Serious
Many time the people that are on those business opportunity lists or filled out the form for your business opportunity are nothing more then tire kickers. These people just want to see what you are "selling" in other words they're just curious and not serious. These types of leads will never sign up for your opportunity no matter how much time you spend with them of the phone or follow up. Your opportunity may have the best products and compensation plan but these types of leads will never join you or any one else in any business opportunity.

This is the type of person will never be open to any opportunity because they simply don't "believe" in them.

2. No Business To Be In Business
Business opportunity leads are people that have no business to be in business for themselves. Many times these people might be financially destitute, desperate for money. This type of person could seem as the exactly the person who would benefit form your opportunity but you would be wrong. If a person comes in to your opportunity from a place of "need" they are doomed to fail and struggle because they do not posses a mindset necessary to succeed in business.

If you sponsor these types of prospects to your opportunity they most likely won't have the marketing skills necessary to market the business and they will have to learn by taking marketing courses so that whatever marketing they use will be effective. If the members you sponsor have a "need" mentality rather then a strong "desire" mentality most likely they will not last a month in your down line let alone the learning curve of network marketing.

3. Looking to "Get Rich Quick"
Many business opportunity leads are just looking for a quick fix ad "get rich quick" scheme not an actual business that they will have to work.. They are looking for cheep to free start up costs that will make them rich in less then a month. Now if you are reading this article you know that it takes time to create financial freedom and you have to be willing to put in what ever effort necessary and money to make success happen.

You create success by committing on a daily basis to taking action marketing, prospecting and being able to invest in your self by investing in whatever training you may need. These kind of prospect might join your opportunity but don't expect them stick with it if they don't see the results they imagined in a week or two.

What types of leads should you be looking for?

You shouldn’t be looking for leads, your leads are looking for you. Your goal is to attract quality leads to you. Best leads are other marketers, however in order to get other network marketers interested in you, you need to offer value. To attract other marketers you have to brand yourself by creating videos, writing articles and blogs with tips and information topics that will interest them. Give away valuable information concentrating on mindset, success creation, marketing, sponsoring and so on.

By branding yourself like this other network marketers who are struggling will be attracted to you and start becoming your leads.
