1. Always wear gloves: being women, beauty is always our foremost concern. Sun rays coming from the windshield, I believe are more damaging to skin than anything else. These rays not only tan your hands, it might result in sun burns, nail dryness and damage, and worst of all wrinkles. I have observed minute horizontal wrinkles on the hands of most of the women who drive. The driving caused wrinkles typically extend from one end to the other end of the hand. In extreme cases, hands start looking dry and scaly. 2. Have a good Grip: One of the most hazardous things while driving is to realize that the pair of shoes that you are wearing is not good enough for driving. Sometimes due to over confidence or carelessness, we end up wearing either stilettos or other fancy shoes which might look very good at parties but are very dangerous once you drive. Shoes for driving should be lightweight and stretchable. A good way to judge good shoes for driving is by holding one end and pressing the other end backwards to see the flexibility. The greater the flexibility, the better it is for driving. Pumps, with rubber soles, are the best for this purpose. Keeping spare shoes in the car is also an excellent option. Driving without shoes is also an option but the disadvantage with this is that the heels end up getting dry and dirty since feet are exposed to all the dirt on the carpet of the car. 3. Hair Care: Hair is the singular source of distraction for you as well as for others who drive. Getting into the car right after shower, without letting hair dry is a very hazardous habit. Hair falling into the eyes is an irritation specially when driving at a fast speed where accidents happen with the blink of an eye. By no means, wind coming in from the windows when the car is moving, should be treated the same as a hair dryer. The air coming in is dirty and will cause damage to hair making it dry, tangled and brittle. Also, it is an open invitation and would attract all sorts of trouble makers ending in car tailing, hooting etc. 4. Keep the Bag in Place: Frequently, the resting place for a woman drivers hand bag is the hand brake! Please avoid this at all costs. The reason for this is that the hand bag will jam the hand brake and the gear. Remember, to save yourself from a messy situation you have to react in a second and would not have the chance to remove the handbag, then change the gear and pull the brakes. 5. The dashboard: This has a multipurpose utility for women since leftover breakfast, quick snacks, jewelry that was coming in the way and cell phones end up being here. The dashboard fluctuates from being a dressing table as well as a dining table. This is a serious cause of concern for the reason that any time brakes are put on, everything on the dashboard will topple over creating a ruckus in the car to say the least and road havoc will result. 6. Eye care: At different timings of the day, depending upon the angle of the sun, the rays can directly fall into the eyes either leading to watering of eyes, wincing, and headache. Over a longer period of time, this may result in formation of dark circles and wrinkling of the soft skin around the eyes. Considering this, invest in shades. Not only are they in but they are protection for your eyes against sun. 7. Talk carefully: common we are women so dont expect us not to talk while we are driving. However, use of hands free is highly recommended for this purpose. Not only does it free your hands for the steering, it provides greater freedom to handle a sudden difficult situation.
