San Antonio is Great For a Family Starting Out

People that are looking to relocate and purchase property in the state of Texas should take a look at the five best neighborhoods in San Antonio Texas. Firstly Alamo Heights offers a serene neighborhood with vintage boutiques and high end gift shops. San Antonio has also been depicted as being big cities with a little town feel. There is an array of choices such as bungalows to luxury estates, and buyers will find a home to suite any lifestyle. Homes in San Antonio Texas range from around $140.000 upwards according to real estate reports, and for this price one can expect 3,000 square feet with a 4 bedroom home that has two and half bathrooms.

The average home in Alamo Heights Texas costs around $500,000, as residents are actually paying for the prestige name and the small town feel, prestige schools and being in the middle of a large city. This city is an ideal place to relax and has been turned into a shrine. In addition Alameda is the first formal Smithsonian affiliate outside of Washington D.C. Market square is a great experience the city’s culture through the great food and lie music which is held over weekends.

King William homes were once purchased at bargain-basement prices, but those days are long gone. Home values have soared and the median cost of a home is about $650,000.

King William has attracted young professionals looking for something other than a ranch for decades. Buyers are purchasing bungalows and run down homes built in the late 1800’s and are restoring them to their original glory. The nearby public schools have dramatically improved and include dual-language curriculums.

For the young professional families that can no longer afford King William have chosen Mahncke Park and have started refurbishing the run down homes with wraparound porches. Unlike King William is a stone throw away from downtown. Mahncke Park offers homes and bungalows for under $200,000; but be aware these prices won’t be around for long.

The Stone Oak in San Antonio which is the fastest growing quadrant of the city. Middle and high income families which send their children to attractive public schools in the northeast district have bought rows of cookie-cutter style homes. Young members of the San Antonio Spurs can be spotted often at the pubs and stores. An average home in Stone Oaks costs around $350,000 and residents forgo huge lawns for more square footage. Huge malls anchored by popular stores are surrounded by trendy bars and health and beauty salons..

Then there is Helotes Texas which is home to acres of land where children can be seen riding on their horses. Helotes means corn in Spanish and offers young families tranquility from light pollution and street noise. There is an array of shops and restaurants which continues to anchor the community, and has become a venue of strip malls and music venues. The prices of homes are double to the average city home prices and each home is completely different which makes Helotes unique.
