Your Relationship Has Ended Now What

Your relationship has ended, now what do you do? Well, you could

*Cry
*Cry some more
*Mope around the house day after day
*Avoid daylight and listen to sad songs
*Not listen to sad songs because they remind you of your former relationship

..and so on and so forth. To the intellect none of these sound quite appealing, but to the emotions it's a different story.

Rushing back to your ex may be all that you want to do, but that isn't the way to go. Although it's hard, accept the fact that the relationship has come to an end. This will give you a chance to determine if the relationship had been worth your time. If you realize that it wasn't, then seize the day! Take time to relish the good times that were had. Be thankful that you had a chance to joyfully experience life with another person. At the same time, thank God that the reasons that ended the relationship are no longer a part of your life!

However, if you decide that you would like another chance, try these steps.

1. DO NOT try to call or write your ex for a while. Just as you took the time to evaluate the relationship, this will allow your ex to do the same. Give your ex a chance to miss you and to realize how much they value you.

2. Plan for the next time you meet each other. Figure out where and when you will meet and what to talk about when you do. This meeting will let you know whether or not you still have feelings for your ex--and vice versa--and whether you should give your relationship another try.

These steps may not be as easy as they sound. Also, they may take more work than what's presented, but they can help in either helping you to move on in life or in possibly restoring your relationship. So, whether you decide to celebrate the end of the relationship or you decide to give the steps for restoring the relationship a try, do something besides mope and dwell on your present negative emotions!
