Pay attention to women. They have far more courtship gestures, presumably because over the eons they have been obliged to subtly gain the attention of males. Even nowadays when women are supposed to be far more prepared to make the running, the majority still seem to prefer to practice what their predecessors have done over the centuries, namely to attract the male by artful gestures. Let us look at blushing. This is an apparently unconscious act. In Western culture it seems more acceptable as a preening device for women to blush. However, men who are in awe of an attractive woman are also likely to experience the same sensation. When a woman blushes a man is attracted, when a man blushes it is likely to have the opposite effect unless the female is somewhat older than the man. Then there is standing with hands on hips. In both sexes this pose indicates a readiness for action. Women will often emphasize their sexuality by placing one hand on a hip and thus draw attention to their figure. A woman who is endowed with an hour glass shape will often use this to draw the attention of a male. It is as if the female of the species instinctively knows that men are essentially visual in their judgement of women and attracting attention to a well formed body will always impress a male. There are some courtship gestures which are basically female. One of the reasons why palmistry may be so popular with women could be because the action of showing the wrists whilst the palm is being read excites a feeling of well being. This is particularly apparent if the hand reader is a male. It is worth remembering if you are a man that when a woman feels comfortable in your presence, that she will relax, becomes less tense and unconsciously turn her hand so that her wrists become visible. A man will unconsciously pick up on this and become more attentive. Taking her hand at this juncture is highly effective. Note: Some gay men emulate this feminine gesture particularly when smoking by exposing the wrist very obviously. Sexually aggressive females will often roll their hips to attract men, much to the chagrin of other women in the vicinity who find it irritating. But make no mistake; it is highly attractive to men. Those women who do it accentuate their walking so the pelvic region is most apparent. The male eye is drawn to the area, whereupon the female will look from below her eyelids in a most inviting way. Whether it is a cigarette, wine glass, finger or pen, the unconscious rolling or fondling of that cylinder seems to occur when the female is highly interested in the male. She will normally do it almost unconsciously during one of those occasions when she is gazing into his eyes and listening to him talking about himself. Generally speaking in Western Culture, women are encouraged to sit modestly with their legs closed or even crossed. Women will often open their legs slightly, sometimes wider, when a man enters the room and they are making a play for his attention. Most women prefer to be subtle, so with their legs crossed (a female defensive position) they will strongly offset that message by a number of conscious or unconscious ploys. The basic level is to cross and uncross the legs slowly whilst stroking her thigh directly in front of a man. In a low voice she will speak with him apparently unaware of what she is doing and the volcanic effect it is having on the man. Or she will imitate the sexual act by seeming to balance her shoe on the end of her foot whilst at the same time thrusting her toes slowly in and out, and allowing the heel to hang in a state of orgasmic suspension. This can be maddening for men, and too much for other women. When anyone is ready for sexual performance, the muscle tone is high. That is why one of the most effective sitting positions for women seeking to gain the interest of a male is the leg twine. One leg is crossed over the other and pressed so firmly that the muscle tone is markedly enhanced. Most women use this gesture because it has proved itself to be extraordinarily effective. It is also explains the popularity of high heel shoes! Men too have ways of attracting women, but they tend to be very obvious. But do remember if you seek to consciously emulate what most men and women do unconsciously that you are likely to attract someone who is only tuned into the fake messages you have been consciously creating, but are not really you, which may prove a recipe for disaster.
