How You Can Learn from the People in Your Dreams

One of the keys to a happy and successful life is being able to truly be the person that YOU want to be. You must ensure that your actions and deeds are based upon what you truly desire and that you clearly understand your own life's purpose.

But it's not always easy to identify what you really want!

Throughout life you will be influenced by outside factors and especially by what other people say and do. You will also be affected by what other people expect of you, or more accurately, what you believe their expectations to be. So it is vital that you can see beyond all this, to the feelings and desires that are inside you and that will be your true motivators.

But that doesn't mean you should ignore other people and how you interact with them! Indeed there is much you can learn of benefit to you by understanding fully how you feel about them, especially those who are close to you. You should learn not merely to be instructed by them, but instead to be sure you are guided by them.

Your thoughts about other people and what they have done or said, and the emotions they have evoked in you, are always in your mind, quite often the subconscious. And, as you will hopefully understand, much of what is contained in your subconscious mind is translated whilst you sleep into dream form. So the people that feature in your dreams can have a real impact upon your life and what you do to achieve all that you truly desire.

But when you do have dreams of other people how do you recognize their significance and what they may mean to you?

Here are some pointers to help you:

- First try to identify who the people are. Do you recognize them or are they strangers? Consider what they are doing in the dream and how it makes you feel.

- If they are people you know, consider what it is about them that you like or dislike. By identifying these qualities you will get hints as to what your dream is telling you to observe in yourself. For example, are there qualities these people possess that you wish you had yourself? If so you should be encouraged to pursue the attainment of them.

- Are they people from your past such as loved ones who have passed away? These dreams are encouraging you to look at the special moments you shared with them and how they can help you to decide upon a course of action now.

- Are you afraid of the people in your dreams or in awe of them? If so what causes these feelings? It may be that you are afraid of expressing hopes or fears within you that are related to them.

- Remember also that the people in your dreams often represent aspects of yourself. A dream of your father may represent your own desire for fatherhood or may be more to do with your feelings about how you see yourself as a parent or reflect your concern about the caring side of your character.

- Your dreams of other people can also signify your search for a solution to a problem or a need to identify your true direction in life. So if you dream of an authority figure like a teacher, your boss or even again your father it could indicate your need for help in these areas. Look carefully and you might find a clue that will be just what you are looking for!

By looking closely at the people that appear in your dreams you are opening a door to the feelings you have about them and, more importantly, about yourself. Once you understand these aspects you will be far better placed to act in the way that will lead to your perfect life. So when someone appears in your dreams don't ignore them, rather act to find out exactly what they can tell you that will help you to attain the life to which you aspire.
