Noosa is a small town located north of Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast of Australia in the Eastern Queensland region. Noosa was originally inhabited by Aboriginal groups, and their existence is still easy to discern by the symbols, ritual objects, and traditions that they have left behind in Noosa. A perfect escape from cities with their large buildings and busy roads, Noosa is a seaside paradise, dotted with beaches and lovely resorts. The town is known for its green design strategies and abundant national parks and nature reserves. You can also visit UnderWater World, the acclaimed aquarium on the Sunshine Coast, visit a theme park or take a walk in Noosa National Park. A Noosa ferry cruise is also a great idea for experiencing the coast. Ferry cruises are fun ways to see the sights while you get from point A to point B. Grab a great dinner or pre-boat drinks before you board at one of the many restaurants and cafés on the Noosa coast.

Shopping in one or more of the local markets in Noosa is sure to be an experience. Whether you’re looking to buy fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables, taste the finest local ginger beer or buy gifts made by local artists, Noosa’s markets have something for you. Eumundi Market is a local favorite, bustling with activity and packed with great things to see and buy.

Noosa is home to many art galleries and museums if you are looking for an artistic and cultural experience during your vacation. Desert Rain is one such gallery which displays fine examples of indigenous art; it is the perfect place to visit if you are wondering what the artistic culture of Noosa is really like. Visit the Noosa Museum to experience the region’s rich history. If museums aren’t your favorite vacation activity, try visiting a music venue like Joe’s Waterhole, or see a film in the Majestic Theatre, one of the world’s only remaining silent movie theatres.
