Cruise your neighborhood in total style with a new Razor E100 electric scooter This well built electric scooter is a sure winner with kids 8 and over Top weight is 120 lbs Runs 40 minutes

How would you like to cruise around your neighborhood in total style with a new Razor E100 electric scooter? What? You haven't heard about it? This well-built electric scooter boasts versatile twist-grip throttle and a high-torque chain-driven motor. The E100 is the ideal gadget for pre-teens and teens wishing to rush over to a friend's place or go to the park. And what a great Christmas or birthday gift.

The E100 differs from Razor's E300S and E500S scooters. Their motors switch on from a standing position, while the E100 only requires a slight manual kickoff to 3 mph prior to starting (the rider presses a trigger to fire up the motor).

Once the rider is on the move, however, the electric motor ramps up to 10 mph. That's speedy enough to have fun, but not so fast to be a hazard on the street or sidewalk. I also have to commend razor on their extended life rechargeable battery. It takes around eight hours to fully charge, but then the rider can tool around for up to 40 minutes at a spell; long enough to get to most places and back.

Some other really nice features include a folding handlebar mechanism for super easy storage and transport. It also comes with a 4.9 inch polyurethane rear wheel, and an 8-inch pneumatic front tire. The front brake is manually operated. Razor recommends that the E100 is appropriate for kids aged eight and older, but the top weight capacity is set at 120 so most adults are going to have to get another model. The complete package that arrives in the mail also includes a pair of 12-volt batteries, the charger, and some tools you may need. I also thought that the 90-day warranty was reasonable since any defect will almost always show up within that span of time.

I looked up some unsolicited testimonials for the E100 scooter. About 99% were very positive. I picked out a couple I thought might interest you.

“I purchased this for my eight year old. This has been a joy of his for several months. It runs well, lively and the battery appears to hold up for a very long riding period."

"Purchased this for my nephew who just turned 6. - I was anxious with it being overly fast, it's just right. he transitioned from push version to this in seconds!"

"We gave this to our 13 yr old daughter as a present about 4 months ago. She loves it! She scoots around the neighborhood on her own. It has also cut down on my carpooling. She rides it to school at least once a week and to her after-school activities. If the battery runs out while she is on it, she just uses her legs and scoots home as if it were a non-electric scooter. It's light enough to carry up the stairs also."

Anyway, I sure wish they had these around when I was a kid. If you visit my website there's more comments and a couple of videos to check out. Enjoy.
